Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Absolutely adore this set up! I spotted the gallery and coffee, sign driving past and on the way back planned to pull in. So glad I did. It’s dog friendly and kid friendly (with supervision obviously) due the beautiful art pieces. This place has unique and nostalgic decor and holds a pleasant homestead feel. It’s a great place with lovely personable staff. My Decaf Coffee was great, dessert was divine; simple and delicious (Caramilk slice yes caramilk so good) Very happy with our visit if only I lived closer this spot would be my regular. If you ever drive through here or even just plan a trip out to the vineyards I would highly recommend a pit stop and reset here!"
"A hidden gem in Kearsley! Stumbled upon this lovely little café during a weekend trip to Cessnock and what a find! The coffee here is absolutely top-notch — rich, smooth, and easily one of the best I’ve had in a while, and the setting is so charming and unique. The cafe is part art gallery, part local history hub — filled with character, vintage pieces, and stunning artwork. It feels like you’re stepping into a storybook corner of the Hunter Valley. Special mention to Tony, the owner — super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the place. There’s a beautiful outdoor area too, with plenty of space to relax (and even a giant swing!). If you’re after great coffee, a relaxed vibe, and a place with soul — definitely stop here!"
"Nice place to have a pitstop to have a cup of coffee and Banana Cake."
"Amazing place every time we stop through. Caramel slice is absolutely amazing, Tony awesome bloke polite, funny just a all round good bloke!! The place absolutely amazing, stunning, old tools, machines, niknacks get stuck there for hours !!"
"My wife and I stopped there for a cafe. We were surprised how interesting and historically rich this place is. The coffee was great, the service was very good... But the best asset this cafe has is its proprietor... He is a gem."
"Just wow my wife and kids really enjoyed this place very comfortable atmosphere even eaching the kids about the old machines and tools was amazing they can't believe how we all grew up and sorry as for the service and coffee it was even better this single handed man did it all by himself thanks heaps mate taste of coffee amazing and the banana bread amazing we will always come back when we can"
"We stayed in Kearsley last night and decided to drop into this cafe today. And what a good idea it was. The first thing that strikes you is how calming the place is. It has an abundance of space and is very neat. The grounds are great and the noise of the road is not really noticeable The coffee? Awesome. Yes it’s awesome. We also had some Hummingbird Cake and it rates as one of the best we have ever had. The gent serving appeared to be the owner and he took the time to quickly chat when he bought our coffee and cake to the table. Pleasant and welcoming I would recommend this cafe to anyone that’s looking for awesome coffee and a relaxing experience."
"What a charming gem in Cessnock! This fascinating little café-art gallery is full of character, with old vinyl records, historic photographs of the area and artefacts that make you want to wander and look twice at everything. The coffee was excellent, the banana bread absolutely delicious, and Tony, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A perfect stop on the way to the vineyards or simply while exploring Cessnock. Highly recommend!"
